This will of course cause an increase in heating oil and gas prices. Of course since gas prices will be higher that will cause increase in trucking and shipping and another increase in airfares. So now my necessities (food, heat and gas) are more expensive and if I am able to scrape together enough money for a vacation (which is unlikley) it will be more expensive too. What your moretoreum on oil drilling did not contribute to the rise in oil enough? To top it off the new EPA regualations which is essentially the Cap and Tax law that failed in Congress not only kills jobs in the clean coal industries but will raise my electricity bill as well. Now who does these increases hurt more the middle class or the Fat Cat in his corporate jet? Second in the last few months the President has played 17 rounds of golf (min 2.5 hrs) and held 33 fundraisers (lets say all time included 3hrs each) and then scolds Washington saying he has been there bc he met with each caucus for 1.5 hrs. So that is 142hrs to 6hrs. I guess the heart of this question is how can any regular working Joe like myself defend this policy. Best answer to anyone that can show me the error in my logic.

I'm all for diversity, but you shouldn't enforce it at the expense of other people. If a white guy wants to get into college, he shouldn't be rejected because a black guy is trying to get in also. Wireless Internet isnt working..?

My Ethernet-connected computers are getting Internet access. My iPhone is connecting properly through wi-fi. My laptop, however, is not. I turned my firewalls off, though they aren't the problem since the Internet will come on for about 10 seconds every few minutes. My connection is showing full bars for service, but there is a yellow exclamation point and it says 'no Internet access'. This is becoming incredibly frustrating. No the calorie counter is not accurate. It as horrible in the older Wii version. A lot of factors go into calorie burning calculating which are typically your weight and intensity. I have seen that achievement as well but didn't look for a status tracker or anything like that. You just have to keep playing and you will eventually get it. Two ways I have experienced shedding 10+ calories a minute are on an elliptical machine and jogging above 4mph. If you want a more accurate reading get yourself a heart rate monitor and see how many calories that says you burn. Good luck on your achievement.

Big dogs around a baby?

as long as they are trained well they should be okay. we have two big dogs and im expecting as well and the doctor said for the first month keep the dogs out of the babys room and slowly introduce them little by little like for 1 hour a day let the dog come in the room and sniff the crib and stuff you can also let them sniff the baby blanket and also get an air purifier that helps too for the hair and dander. children that grow up with dogs are more empathetic towards other people so i think its great that your babies will grow up around dogs

We're boy and girl and we're best friends. We just finished our first year of college. At one point we had a short fling after she broke up with her bf, i could tell she was getting tired of him and eventually ended it. Anyways, stuff happened and she got a boyfriend 3 or 4 months ago. I guess i still held feelings for her and still do though not as much. She's my best friend and aside from her boyfriend I'm second closest to her. I understand that people serve for various reasons and lets be honest money is one big reason many people join. My question is would someone in the military be better of financially than somebody going to college? For example although an E1 only earns a mere 17k a year he is getting free housing free food free medical care. He is also receiving tax free shopping. While a college student or someone who has graduated college might earn substantially more they would most likely be in at least 50 thousand dollars of debt. Reducing their pay significantly and not allowing them to spend on stuff they want rather making them spend on their debt.

How is this prologue? Do you feel the emotion? Where should I edit it?

I loved the first paragraph. It is a very dramatic and intense death scene. I like the details and the intricacies of a potential vampiric death. It seems to take longer than is traditional but it is wonderfully vivid. The rest of it (for me) is teen romantic drivel. I don't have a problem with her loving a vampire it is just the extremism of it all. He being the only vamp she could ever stand, the only one she ever loved because he was a good vampire? Why is my internet bill so high? Internet problems? HELP.?

I have a BT HomeHub on 10 GB a month for �10. Since I switched from dial up to wireless, my bill has been almost 3 times what it used to be, for unknown reasons. Looking into it for 10 GB people have said you should be able to download up to 32 HD full length movies per month or up to 5000 albums, this however seems to have been done in the first few days. We don't have many things connected to the router, the main being a PS3, Macbook and an iPod touch. None of which we download things from constantly. Recently there have been updates on the PS3 but they aren't big enough to fill 10 GB of internet, and the iPod is rarely used too. The other it the Macbook, which is only used for browsing twitter facebook, blogging and the odd video a day on youtube, again this can't be the cause of nearly a �30 bill within the first 9-10 days. The only thing that has come to mind that our big computer has been 'running' or downloading so to speak constantly and wont stop the whole time that we are on it, we think that the cause of this is that a person or multiple people have hacked the system and are using our internet and downloading constantly without us knowing that any of this is going on, however something is going on somewhere along the line because using the device for a mere 5 hours a day just on social networking sites could not possibly bring the bill to �30, this isn't the equivalent to 32HD movies surely. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the bill is so high or how to resolve this issue? Many thanks.

Is it okay if I take my wife to a local barbershop for trimming of her long hair?

My wife has thick black long hair below her hips. Even for a simple trim for regular maintenance, She has to visit local beauty parlour quite often as her hair grows very fast. As all know the beauty parlours cost a huge amount i.e., more than Rs. 300/- per trim. Which is not something a middle class family can afford regularly. Normally I trim her hair at home at a regular interval. however a professional cut is always better Recently I saw a lady accompanied by her teenager son came to the local barber shop where i go for my haircut / shave and after the boy got his haircut, the lady asked the barber for a simple trim for her hip length hair which he did. The cost of this was a mere Rs.50/-. This was a simple cut for her long hair which is like my wife's hair. Then this idea came to my mind. I asked the barber also who informed that sometime he does get such female clients. He is even will for a home visit for trimming my wife's hair for Rs. 50/-. Can I request some opinion on this idea of mine. I would also request if any lady who has got experience of haircut at a barbershop to please share with us so that my wife also gets confidence.

hi there, if you want my honest advice, it's not bad but its not great either. It's a bit muddled and rushed and a bit of a jumble to read, too much is happening at once. I got a little confused, you need to slow down first of all. It seems a little rushed, to make it a good piece of writing you need to put a bit more time into it and maybe try to slowly build the suspense and make it more gripping to read. as i said build it up slowly, dont introduce too many people at once. its all just constructive criticism and i hope it help and i havent offended. good luck xx

Can anyone give me some information on Carrie Vania Parker? I know that she was born on June 5th, 1912 and she passed away on April 17th, 1974. I know that she was born in Goldsboro, Wayne County NC. And I have the names of a few of her ancestors. She married once to Aulbert Asbry Mason of Carteret County and later married Edgar Warren, also of Carteret County. I know that my grandmother bears the maiden name of Warren but she was adopted by her father Edgar. I am assuming that her father is Aulbert Mason. I would love any information you might have on him as well. I found a name on ancestry.com of an Albert Mason of Carteret County but I am not sure if it is him or not. I only did a rootsweb search as I do not have a full ancestry account. What I got was a hit from a tree in worldconnect. It said that he passed away in Stacy,Carteret County, NC. All that I know for sure is that my grandmother (the unnamed who bears the maiden name of Warren above) was born in Morehead City and lived there for some time. Is President Obama disconnected from the America that he's supposed to Govern?

Obama still seems to be in perpetual campaign mode and NEVER in any kind of leadership mode. He likes to make a great speech about something and then pawn everything off on someone else while he goes golfing far away from the fray.He pawned the stimulus and Obamacare off on Pelosi, and pawned the debt crisis off on Biden. He submitted a joke of a budget a few months ago, and then didn't even try to come back and defend it except a couple of very vague speeches in which he mumbled something about raising taxes. Obama should be focused 100% on our economic crisis, and should be on TV outlining his plan (which it is clear that he doesn't even have). Instead, he waits for the GOP to actually come up with a plan, then only comes on TV to demagogue it to death with lies and half truths while never offering an alternative. This demonstrates a COMPLETE lack of leadership! Even Jimmy Carter at least TRIED to do something. Obama won't even do that. he just goes golfing which is a slap in the face to the rest of us who are struggling.

Are My Nieghbors Jealous?

Ok, so i live in Parkland, FL. I live in this really nice gated community (of which i will not say the name) and my family and i have lived there for now going on eight years. When we first moved i was about, 8 years old. The neighbors in our immediate vacinity (meaning the families that live in the both houses to the right and both houses to the left and the five houses across the street....idk if that makes sense but please bare with me.) Lol anyways, those families were really close with our family. So everything was fine and dandy until the time that i turned about....14. And as that was happening, my mom finally got her own practice (shes an OBGYN) And my dad got a promotion to some Vice President thing at his company. So as more money started to flow in and their income increased, my parents decided it was time for an upgrade. We renovated the rooms of our house, even the porch/pool area and my we bought three new cars. A mercedes S 550, a Mercedes, GL 450 and my dad's 550i BMW. As this was happening, i remember some of the neighbors had taken notice and would stare as my family would drive off in either of the mercedes or the bmw. Soon, a couple of the neighbors would come over to "visit" my parents, but really it was just to see the work we got done on the house...Now, my family and i don't associate with any of the nieghbors or their kids, the only thing we do is exchange slight waves of acknowledgment and the rare, yet akward time when your out getting the paper, and one of the nieghbors is jogging by, waves and then decides to stop and "check in" with you... While i know my grades are not nearly as close as what UC wants. My GPA is 2.8, I know terrible and no matter what there's no excuses. No one but to blame myself. There are things that affected me but i guess i was not strong enough to withstand it (i been facing a lot of things and well they affected everyday life and now I'm paying for it) Now i know what i really want to pursue. I want to get into the forensics science field. I want to go to a UC that has a good program. But my grades and GPA is not good at ALL. I tried to see if funeral director was something i would pursue cause my community college offers a program. But in the end it was just not for me. I'm 19 years old. (In community college) I'm lost. I need advice. What can i do? Raise GPA? My question is What do i do? Is it common for adult siblings to still harbor negative feelings since childhood?

Wow-that sounds a lot like how things were between me and my oldest sister for years. I kept trying to be nice to her, show her I loved her, etc but things would always go sour and she'd make me out to be the bad person even though I'd done nothing at all. It took a long time, but what changed things was a letter I sent her. I told her that I really wanted to have a sisterly relationship with her and didn't understand why we couldn't get along. I asked her to please tell me of any past resentments or things about my personality that made her angry. She responded by calling me, crying, but also telling me things that made me want to scream but I kept silent, stayed welcoming, and we agreed to keep working on our relationship. I realized some things were just her perception, some things were traits I shared with my mom that I didn't realize I had been, and some she realized she had overreacted to. Things did not change overnight and, if one of us had given up easily, nothing ever would have. It was hard to say things to her that SHE did or traits she possessed b/c she is ultra sensitive, but I did it slowly and with as much delicacy as I could. We are still not super close, but we enjoy talking to each other about once a week and seeing each pther a few times a year. It is amazing how much some siblings build up over the years. Incidentally, she is the oldest and I am the youngest with a big distance and a sibling in between us. She resented all the things I had when I reached my teen years but never realized that I worked to pay for most of it myself and that, with only one mouth to feed instead of 3 at home, mom had more to spend on things.
