If you have a child in england would they be a UK citizan?

Birth in UK? Citizenship only to a child of a UK citizen. Child of a non-UK citizen takes citizenship of the parents only. Very few countries allow citizenship based solely upon birth within the country. Ireland, for example, did allow this at one time and stopped it a number of years ago. However, a child always has a right to citizenship in its parents' country of citizenship regardless where it is born.
